Geospatial Risk Assessment Support Protocols (GRASP)

This project provides technical support to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division. This support includes annual updates of the web-accessible South Carolina Hazards Mapping Interface, county level hazard assessment activities under the DMA 2000, the development of spatial decision support tools for county level risk assessment and mitigation planning, and standardized maps, charts, and graphs for each of the counties within the state.

The project recently completed county hazard profiles for each of South Carolina’s counties. In addition, we have completed project the beta release of the SCEMD Hazard Vulnerability Explorer and Data Retrieval System, a web mapping application developed using ArcGIS Server and the Flex API.
